I had a great experience and my best during my three year time with the company. I did so much pertaining to the logistical side of Supply Chain Management. I was able to communicate with people in other companies and people from all over the world. I was given major responsibilites dealing with freight bills and most importantly, planning shipments and making decisions that could effect sales company wide. |

Although far more boring than the international experience I had, the domestic logistics co-op still taught me a lot about the industry. I think had I done the domestic before the international co-op, the path would have been better and I would have found my first co-op as a domestic coordinator more exciting. I went from the international exciting side of things to a less exciting side of the system. |

Half of responsibilities are field work (working at book fairs in the NY area) which require LONG hours and being on your feet all day. The other half requires the co-op to be in the main offices in SoHo working behind the "book fair scenes" on projects having to do with inventory replenishment and projections. This is great for a first possibly second co-op but I wouldn't recommend it for an experienced 2nd co-op and not at all for a 3rd co-op experience. It was my third co-op and I felt bored because the skills I had gained at past co-ops had far exceeded what I needed here. But again, a GREAT first co-op getting to see many areas of the business. |
