I actually liked working at CSN but it was b/c of the people. Being stuck in product marketing is very tedious. Most people listen to their iPods all day and talk primarily through e-mail. The day dragged on forever. However, I stayed on as a CSR part-time and I liked doing that even though that was kind of tedious too, but at least you got to chit chat and talk to people the whole time! CSN also has great parties and open bars once a month after work on Thursdays. There is a big snack room filled with chips, candy, fruit, etc for free (careful tho, I def gained weight here!), foozeball tables, great deals on returns, and sometimes free lunches. Careful not to spend your whole paycheck when you get it downstairs in the Pru or on Newbury!! |

I was in the first group of co-ops that worked at CSN Stores and since then they have grown much more. I was fortunate enough to have more responsibilities than just data entry and images. Even though the data entry is boring, if you do it well sometimes you get more interesting things to do. The parties and perks (snacks, red sox games) are definitely nice, but shouldn't be the determining factor in picking a job. Everyone at CSN is young and friendly. Great atmosphere. Even though it's not the most exciting job, it has a lot of potential to learn new things while making money. |

Working at CSN had its ups and downs. While all of the other co-ops had amazing Managers, the other co-ops and I got stuck with a control-freak, strict manager who would make a scene if we got in to work at 8:01 AM. The work got dull after a few months, but other people in the company were very friendly and casual. I could never imagine doing data entering and competitive pricing for a living though. I'd probably shoot myself. No wonder the turn over rate in the company is so high. |
