The people are awesome. John Hancock over hires people and there is not enough work for everyone. Pretty much I spend 90% of my time playing crossword puzzles online and shopping.

This was an absolute, ABSOLUTE disaster. The moral was very low. The people there HATE their job, and with good reason. The description was like one of those free TV ads, totally false. Constant pressure to work overtime doing meaningless, worthless work in a cube. What a real waste of time and contribution to the betterment of mankind, not. The people were not fun, the job was boring, tedius, and the computer software was a pain to learn though a monkey could operate it. Our head manager was a psycho who hit on the coops and cursed viciously at us employees for his own poor management. To sum it up, Hancock was Office Space. See the movie.

I did my Co-op at Hancock roughly 4 years ago and I still think it was one of the worst jobs ive ever had. If you want to go to a cube farm with miserable people and do tedious or some times no work at all then this is the place to be. After working there you will never be able to watch the movie office space the same way again. They hired too many people , they had no real work for us to do , and any work they did give us was mind numbing busy work ( i remember I had to alphabetize spreadsheets on a few occasions ). Most or the people who work there hate their jobs and are miserable, which makes for a terrible work environment. In short , I spent most of my time there trying to find ways to occupy my time ( which as it turns out is more stressful then doing actual work !!) , after about 3 months of sitting around doing nothing , I just started going home at 12 every day...no one cared or noticed . Do your co-op somewhere else !!!!!
